A graduate Civil Engineer from M. S. University Jay Narayan Vyas is Engineer by training. He is Fellow of Institution of Engineers and holds Master's Degree in Civil Engineering from IIT, Mumbai.

With Post Graduate qualifications in Management, he also holds a Doctorate (Ph.D.) in the same Discipline and a Degree in Law.

Shri Vyas recognized as eminent thinker on Public Administration, Economics and Finance has also been a public life functionary for last over 25 years (1990-2016).

He is conferred a distinguished alumnus for his outstanding contribution to the M.S. University, Academia and Society – A distinction conferred upon about 30 alumni out of those pass outs of the university since 1949.

Career Success

Some of the milestone achievements in his distinguished career include a noteworthy contribution to Gujarat's Industrial Development (1975-90) as a policy planner and administrator.

Guiding India's largest multipurpose irrigation project – Sardar Sarovar as its Chairman and later on as the Minister during the most critical stages. A contribution recognized by International Commission on Large Dams (ICOLD) by awarding a Gold Medal for the year 2003.
